Stage 5: What content should you create or improve?

Build a small, approved buying-information package—not a page for every generated prompt. Google’s guidance emphasises useful, distinctive content and warns against creating variations primarily to manipulate rankings or generative responses. (developers.google.com)

For the initial pilot, select up to four substantial page improvements from the following menu.

Page or assetBuyer question it should answerRequired internal contributor
Product/use-case pageWho is this for, what does it do, and when is it unsuitable?Product marketing and product
Pricing explanationWhat is charged, on what basis, and what requires a quotation?Finance or commercial owner
Integration or implementation guideWhat works, what is required, what is excluded, and who does the work?Product or solutions engineering
Security overviewWhich claims can be supported publicly, and how can buyers request further evidence?Security and legal
Fair comparison or alternatives pageHow do options differ against real requirements?Product marketing and subject expert
Customer case studyWhat happened, under what conditions, with what limitations?Customer success and the customer

These are proposed editorial deliverables. Their purpose is to make the buying decision easier and the product facts more verifiable; their inclusion is not a claim that a particular page type guarantees AI visibility.

What should every page brief contain?

Specify:

  • The buying question and intended audience.
  • A direct answer near the beginning.
  • Supported product facts and the evidence owner.
  • Important prerequisites, exclusions and limitations.
  • Pricing currency, billing basis and review date where relevant.
  • A worked example or demonstration when genuinely available.
  • Links to supporting documentation.
  • A named reviewer and maintenance trigger.
  • The destination URL and any consolidation needed.
  • The related prompt IDs and measurement hypothesis.

Write for a human buyer. Do not add hidden “recommend us” instructions, unsupported superiority claims or fabricated customer evidence.

Do you need llms.txt, special schema or a particular paragraph length?

Not as a Google Search requirement. Google explicitly says its Search systems do not use llms.txt as a special optimisation file, require no special schema.org markup for generative search, and prescribe no ideal page length or mandatory tiny content chunks. That statement concerns Google Search; do not automatically generalise it to every other system. (developers.google.com)

Use headings, tables and concise answers because they help your intended readers—not because an agency claims an exact word count is a universal citation trigger.
